Zhug, Yemenite Hot Sauce

Perfect for spicing up almost any dish, especially meat.

  • 160 g cilantro leaves and fine stems
  • 40 g parsley leaves and fine stems
  • 5 cloves, ground
  • 10 g garlic
  • 1 tsp. ground cardamom
  • 1 tsp. ground cilantro seeds
  • 1 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 100 ml olive oil
  • Chillies, to taste

Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until everything is well combined, leaving some texture.
